Case competitions are ways for students to apply the skills learned in the classroom to analyze a business challenge and recommend a course of action. Case competition judges are frequently leaders in industry who serve to question and evaluate the teams like a board of directors. While not a typical part of a curriculum, case competitions provide students with the ability to network with other future professionals from leading schools, to meet high-profile executives, and to experience the pressures of the real world in a learning environment. Some case competitions also have significant prize awards for the top performing teams.
Below is a table of selected case competitions, and the CAHME programs that came in the top three spots. Certain competitions are open only to CAHME-accredited programs. Other competitions are open to other schools. CAHME-accredited programs typically excel because of the robust training and high curriculum standards.
