The CAHME Summer Bootcamp will be held immediately before the AUPHA Annual Meeting on June 11 – 12, in Philadelphia, PA at the Loews Hotel.  Based on attendee feedback, CAHME’s faculty created three independent sessions: an introductory session, an intermediate session, and an advanced session. Attendees can sign up for a combination of 1, 2 or all 3 sessions.  Lunch will be provided between session 2 and session 3. Fees are discounted based on the number of sessions you attend. Book by April 1 to receive the early bird rate.

Session 1: Introduction to CAHME Accreditation

Introduction to CAHME Accreditation will review the basics of CAHME Accreditation.  Topics include refining statements of mission, vision, and goals and objectives that guide program design and assessment.

Requirements: An interest in CAHME Accreditation, and a general understanding of the purpose of accreditation.  For attendees without an established knowledge of CAHME/competency assessment. Great for first time attendees or those who have not been accredited within the past 5 years.

Session 2: Intermediate CAHME Accreditation

Description:  The Intermediate CAHME Accreditation session will enable attendees to understand more complex terms of CAHME Accreditation.  Topics include implementing teaching and assessment tools aligned with competency education. Program management issues will also be covered.

Requirements: Attendees should have a basic, intermediate or advanced understanding of CAHME Accreditation and competency assessment.  While attendance at a prior boot camp or at Session 1 is recommended, attendees may attend if they have had prior experience with CAHME Accreditation as a program director, or other experience. Great for those who have been to boot camp before, as well as first-time attendees.

Session 3: Advanced Topics in CAHME Accreditation

The Advanced Session will review advanced topics in accreditation.  Topics include preparing for self-assessment and a CAHME site visit.

Requirements: Attendees must have completed a prior Boot Camp, or attended Sessions 1 and 2, or had been a site reviewer. Attendees should have an established knowledge of CAHME Accreditation and competency assessment.
