SUMMARY:Accreditation Workshop: Connecting Direct and Indirect Evidence
DESCRIPTION:Most healthcare administration programs already collect student feedback alongside assessment results. \nDirect measures show what students know and can do. Student feedback helps explain the experiences and perceptions behind those results. Looking at either one by itself only tells part of the story. When interpreted together\, they provide a more complete picture of program effectiveness and create stronger evidence for continuous quality improvement. \nThis session introduces a simple framework for interpreting direct and indirect evidence together so programs can move from assessment results to more confident improvement decisions. Participants will learn how to recognize common evidence patterns\, what to do when direct and indirect measures tell different stories\, and how to use those patterns to ask better questions\, make more confident improvement decisions\, and identify where further investigation is needed. \nJoining the session is Dr. Kim Lee from Texas State University. As a participant in the 2026 CAHME Standards Pilot\, Dr. Lee will share how their program interpreted assessment results alongside student feedback\, what surprised them\, and what changed. \nParticipants will leave with a practical framework they can immediately apply to the direct and indirect evidence their own program already collects. \nRegister here.
