The CAHME/George and Regi Herzlinger Innovation Education Award

This national award honors George and Regi Herzlinger’s breakthrough contributions in creating and inspiring medical innovations that changed patients’ lives and helped entrepreneurs globally.  It recognizes the significant impact that CAHME Accredited programs can have in providing the foundation in the principles of innovation for future leaders to be the change needed in healthcare.

Award Winning Program Will Receive: 

1.   $10,000 grant awarded to the Program.  The application should describe how the grant will be used.  Acceptable uses include, but are not limited to, the following: 

        Development/funding of courses in healthcare innovation 

        Scholarships/funding for experiential learning opportunities 

        Faculty recruitment to the extent that faculty will be focused on innovation 

        Educational programs/conferences with innovators 

        Attendance at Case Competitions related to innovation. 

2.   Recognition in Modern Healthcare.  

3.   Recognition through CAHME Communications, including digital media, social media, and press releases. 

4.   An award presented during the 2022 ACHE Congress.
