UNIVERSITY PROGRAMS

Why CAHME is important to University Programs.

CAHME is an organization that helps programs improve through peer and practitioner review. It does this through site visits, boot camps, enhanced benchmarking, and mentorship activities. It provides to students access to materials such as Modern Healthcare and AHA’s Personal Membership groups at no cost. CAHME offers several scholarships available only to students from CAHME Accredited programs, as well as an award programs that provides recognition to programs that succeed through an innovative partnership with major healthcare organizations. CAHME’s mission is to advance the quality of healthcare management education.

  • Without accreditation, quality is hard to distinguish. The lack of an accrediting process leaves students unsure of the quality of the educational experience.
  • Employers want assurance that graduate’s learning and experience properly prepared them for the wide variety of management responsibilities they’ll encounter.

Healthcare Education Program Directors that distinguish their programs with CAHME accreditation are better positioned to compete for high caliber student applicants.
