Security Alert: Phishing Emails Targeting Stakeholders

We would like to make you aware of a recent increase in phishing emails appearing to come from individuals associated with CAHME, including staff members, Board members, and Council members.

What To Know:

  • Some emails may appear legitimate and use the names of known CAHME associates.
  • These emails may request urgent action, sensitive information, financial transactions, gift cards, login credentials, or responses outside of normal processes.
  • Sender names can be spoofed, so it is important to verify the actual email address and legitimacy of the request.

What To Do:

  • Verify Sender Legitimacy: Even if an email appears to come from a known CAHME contact, we encourage you to carefully verify the sender’s email address and the legitimacy of the request before responding or clicking any links.
  • Report: Report an email that you feel is suspicious by sending it immediately to CAHME’s COO & CIO, Stacey Rowand, at srowand@cahme.org.
