Announcing the 2024 CAHME Award recipients:

Program Award Recipients

• The CAHME/ Canon Solutions America Award for Sustainability in Healthcare Management recipient is the Boise State University  - Master in Population & Health Systems Management in collaboration with HFMA Program recognized for excellence in sustainability as a combination of cultural competency, community involvement, environmental focus, and accessibility.

  
  

• The CAHME/George and Regi Herzlinger Innovation Education Award recipient is the University of Alabama at Birmingham, MSHA Program recognized for excellence in providing a foundation in the principles of innovation for future leaders to be the change needed in healthcare. 

Student Scholarship Recipients

• The CAHME/Sachs Family Foundation in Honor of Michael A Sachs for Entrepreneurs in Healthcare Management recipient is Tosan Omaghomi, MHA Candidate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Tosan is committed to identifying innovative solutions to bridge the healthcare gap.

  
  

• The CAHME/Dawn Gideon Foundation Scholarship for Women Supporting Communities in Need recipient is Rachel Lynds, MHA Candidate at the University of Cincinnati. Rachel is dedicated to understanding the unique challenges facing rural health communities, particularly in the areas of health disparities and inequities.

  
  

• The CAHME/Judy Baar Topinka Foundation Scholarship for Health Policy recipient is Catlin Clemmons, MHA Candidate at Saint Louis University. Catlin is committed to working to advance the health and well-being of vulnerable populations.

  
  

• The CAHME/Tim Campbell Scholarship for Selfless Service to Others and the Community recipient is Terrelle Ramsey, MHA Candidate at the University of the Incarnate Word. Terrelle is committed to leading, volunteering, and educating the youth.

  
  

• The CAHME/Quint Studer Excellence in Healthcare Mentorship Scholarship recipients are Josh Aune, MHA Candidate at the University of Minnesota and Aimee Asante, MHA Candidate at Penn State University. Josh and Aimee are committed to fostering growth and development amongst their peers.

  
  

• The CAHME/ Fawn Lopez Health Advocacy Communication Excellence Scholarship recipient is Nina Nguyen, MHA Candidate at the University of Southern California. Nina is a transformative leader dedicated to improving healthcare management.

  
  

• The CAHME/Robert S Bonney Scholarship for Veterans of the US Armed Services recipient is Joshua Carlson, MSHA Candidate at the University of Michigan. Josh is an exceptional student and his leadership in the military, from 2013 to 2020 as a hospital corpsman, showcases a versatile and impactful journey.

Fellowship Award Recipient

• The CAHME/The Joint Commission Fellowship Award for Advancing Sustainable Health Care recipient is Sadie Joba, MS in Health Systems Management Candidate at Rush University. Sadie is dedicated to sustainability and envisions a healthcare landscape that prioritizes quality and safety while fostering environmentally responsible practices.

  
  

Site Visitor Award

• The CAHME/Dr. Dolores Clement Fellow of the Year Award recognizes a fellow that is nominated by other site visitors and programs visited, has a history of service as a fellow, for helping programs to succeed, and demonstrates a commitment to advance the quality of healthcare management education. The Board named Cherise Bridgwater, Baylor University, as our first recipient.  ​

Guests are invited to witness the brilliance that defines excellence in healthcare management and celebrate these recipients during the CAHME Award Ceremony at ACHE Congress in Chicago, IL, on Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM CST.
