Benchmarking Tools

Benchmarking

Benchmarking Goal: Provide programs with a way to improve their organizational performance.

With CAHME’s Benchmarking toolset, programs can compare their performance holistically to other programs.  Leading programs have found that benchmarking helps to:

  • Overcome resistance to change.
  • Provide a structure for external evaluation.
  • Create new networks of communication between schools where valuable information and experiences can be shared.

How does my program compare to a user-defined peer group?

CAHME Annual Report Benchmarks (CARB) allows the user to compare their program’s outcomes and characteristics to a user-defined peer group.  CARB can be found within the CAHME Annual Report Editor (CARE).

What does the three year data trend look like for any specific CAHME program?

Advance is a publicly available tool accessed through the CAHME website. Advance shows a program’s 3-year data trend or compares data for for up to 3 selected programs.

How do I create a compensation strategy for faculty?

Within CAHME’s Annual Faculty Editor (CAFE), programs enter compensation data for their program’s faculty. Participating programs receive access to CAHME’s  Compensation by Status report. By examining percentile and normative compensation data, adjusted by a Cost of Living Index, program leaders can create a compensation strategy.

What are best practices to meet CAHME’s Accreditation standards?

Enhanced Benchmarking (EB 2.0) is located within the CAHME Core Learning Center (CLC). Within EB 2.0, the user reviewes best practices per standard based on other program’s narratives. The narratives are sorted by Strength, Met, Partially Met and Not Met.
