Annual Report

Annual Report

The Annual Report is how CAHME ensures that programs continue to meet CAHME standard. The Annual Report is required for every Accredited, Certified, and Candidate program. It is also required for Application programs to complete at least one year’s worth of data on the Annual Report before being reviewed for Candidacy.

The Council on Higher Education (CHEA) and the U.S. Department of Education require accreditors to gather data annually and make data such as outcomes and site visit results available publicly.

The Annual Report aligns with CAHME’s mission of advancing the quality of Healthcare Management Education and our five Core Values, specifically excellence and transparency.

Steps of the Annual Report Process

These steps guide you through the Annual Report process and help you understand what is needed each step of the way. We look forward to helping you complete your program’s Annual Report.

It is important to note that the below timeline of the process is for programs on the more traditional academic year of July through June or for those programs that have rolling admissions. If you do not follow one of these paths, reach out to Michelle Petruccelli for further direction.

FAQs

What is the difference between CARE and CAFE?

The CAHME Annual Report Editor (CARE) is the tool where your program’s annual report data will need to be entered yearly. Within CARE is the CAHME Annual Faculty Editor (CAFE). CAFE is a section within the CARE tool where detailed faculty information is entered for each individual faculty member in your program.

What if my program's academic year isn't the typical June through July?

The timeline shown on this page of the annual report process is for programs on the more traditional academic year of July through June or for those programs that have rolling admissions. If you do not follow one of these paths, reach out to Michelle Petruccelli for further direction.

What if I don't meet the 20% graduate response rate?

If the 20% response rate is not met for both satisfaction and salary data, then the program will need to complete a progress report.

I'm an Applicant program going for Candidacy, when is my Annual Report due?

As part of the Candidacy Application, your program will need to have one full year’s worth of annual report data within the CARE system. This will need to be entered in the CARE system before your Candidacy Application can be submitted.

Once your program is approved into Candidacy, your Annual Report will then be due every November 15th.

How many user logins can my program have?

Each program can have two logins:

  1. A program director login
  2. An admin login. This login can view and enter data in the same sections as the Program Director login.

There is also a login that can be requested for a Faculty Compensation Specialist. This login can be used for programs who want access to the faculty compensation report, but the program director does not have access to their faculty’s compensation information to be entered within CAFE. This login can be given to someone within the program’s university system to enter the compensation information for their faculty. Once entered, the compensation data will not be visible to either the Program Director or the Admin logins.
