Dr. Chris Louis, PhD, MHA

Clinical Associate Professor & Associate Chair of Health Law, Policy & Management; Boston University School of Public Health

Chris Louis, PhD, MHA is Clinical Associate Professor and Associate Chair of Health Law, Policy, and Management at the Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH). He is also the Program Director for the CAHME-accredited Healthcare Management certificate and Director of BUSPH Dual Degree programs. Dr. Louis has served as a CAHME Fellow for more than 5 years, led two CAHME site visits at BUSPH, has been a team member on numerous site visit teams at in-person and asynchronous programs, and has consulted with multiple CAHME programs. Dr. Louis has received numerous national teaching awards, including the AUPHA John D. Thompson Prize and the Teaching Excellence Award in Healthcare Management and Leadership. He also brings nearly a decade of healthcare industry experience in strategy, operations, and project management from his time as an executive in CT, FL, and NJ. Dr. Louis earned his PhD from Penn State University in Health Policy & Administration and holds a Master of Health Administration (MHA) from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Sacred Heart University.
