Maureen Connelly Jones

Dr. Maureen Connelly Jones has been privileged to work in healthcare for over 30 years. Currently, she is the Director Assessment and Effectiveness at Peregrine Global Services. Prior to joining Peregrine, she was the Director of Graduate Studies and Master of Health Administration Program Director at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. Prior to joining the College of Public Health at UK, Maureen taught nursing and health administration at Penn State University for two decades while holding roles in the Faculty Senate as chair-elect and various university-level committee chairs. Dr. Jones received her Ph.D. in Organization Development and Human Resource Management from the College of Education at Penn State University. She has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing from Penn State University. She began her career in Philadelphia as a Level I emergency nurse, nurse-paramedic, forensic nurse, and pediatric and adult flight nurse.
Maureen began her work with the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) CAHME as a fellow and is the current chair of the CAHME Standards Council, site visit chair, an Accreditation Council Commissioner, and ex-officio board member. She also is a member of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA) and has served as a program reviewer and on the annual meeting planning committee. Maureen is a member of the Kentucky ACHE chapter serving on the communications committee and as the co-chair of the Education Committee.
Maureen enjoys supporting programs interested in or who are CHAME-accredited to initiate or advance their competency models and curricula, mission/vision direction, competency mapping, and evaluation plans. She provides facilitation and teaching of CAHME Master Classes through the CAHME Core Learning Program and participates in numerous special committees to support critique revision, inter-rater reliability efforts, and mentorship circle support.
