U.S. News & World Report Update

On August 5, 2024, U.S. News & World Report notified CAHME that the graduate healthcare management rankings will be annual. This is a significant change from the prior process of releasing rankings every 3 or 4 years. U.S. News reported that the rankings draw significant page views, which is attributed to the growing interest in healthcare management as a profession.

CAHME does NOT direct or endorse U.S. News methodology. CAHME provides to U.S. News a list of CAHME Accredited programs and two contacts per University.

CAHME is offering an information session on August 23, at 2:00 pm EDT to update program directors on the U.S. News & World Report process. At least one representative from each CAHME accredited program should attend the information session. The information session will be recorded.

CAHME created a dedicated webpage regarding the U.S. News & World Report rankings. This webpage includes a how-to-video, an FAQ, and details of CAHME’s role.

Click here to access the webpage and to register for the information session.

If you have any questions, contact Michelle Petruccelli, Manager, Accreditation Operations, at mpetruccelli@cahme.org.

Exclusive Benefits for Students in CAHME Accredited, Certified, & Candidate Programs: AHA Professional Membership Group Sign-Up

For the eighth year, CAHME partnered with the American Hospital Association (AHA) to provide students in CAHME Accredited, Certified, and Candidate programs with no-cost access to AHA Professional Membership Groups (PMG).

PMGs offer students access to networking, emerging news, and resources to support students in their coursework. Students will find that joining a PMG provides a competitive edge in advancing their careers by providing unique access to career opportunities, professional development, and professional peer groups. For example, the SHSMD Membership includes access to the coveted AHA Futurescan which identifies important trends in healthcare.

Share this webpage with your students so they can sign up. Only students in CAHME Accredited, Certified, and Candidate programs can access this benefit.

If you have questions, reach out to Brianna Moccia, CAHME Communication Specialist at bmoccia@cahme.org.
