Upcoming State of CAHME Webinar
Join us for the annual State of CAHME Webinar on Tuesday, July 16 at 11:00 am EDT. CAHME Board Members and management will highlight the progress in the past year, review insights from the recent research study, “CAHME Insight Study: Perspectives from the Field”, and share updates in advancements and tools available to support programs in our accreditation process.
The session will include a Q&A with CAHME Board Members and Management.
The significant growth, influence and success of CAHME requires new processes, structure, and staff resources. We expanded relationships instrumental in our journey, for example with AACSB, Middle States Commission on Higher Education, The Joint Commission, and European Health Management Association. We remain thankful to our long standing corporate members: ACHE, HFMA, AHA, MGMA, NAHQ, AUPHA, Cedars Sinai, and Healthcare Plus Solutions Group.
Consistent with our legacy, CAHME, our Board, our councils, accredited programs, our site visitors, and the more than 250 volunteers who participate in CAHME, remain committed to meet our mission of advancing the quality of healthcare management education.

Students in CAHME Accredited Programs Excel in Case Competitions
June marked the end of the academic year and the completion of the major healthcare management case competitions. These competitions allow teams of students to analyze real-world challenges and present their recommendations to a panel of expert judges. They are also a valuable resource for networking with industry professionals, young careerists, and building essential leadership and presentation skills.
Not surprisingly, the high quality of education provided in CAHME Accredited programs means that students in these programs excel in case competitions with approximately 89% of the top slots going to students in programs that are CAHME Accredited in the past 4 years (which includes events at programs not hosted by CAHME Accredited programs). CAHME created a web page for students that provides:
-
Details about case competitions, including the benefits of participating.
-
Case competition tips and techniques courtesy of CAHME site visitor Dr. Warren Smedley, DSc, of the Kinetix Group.
-
A four-year listing of how well students from CAHME-Accredited programs perform in leading case competitions.
