This year CAHME will be hosting our first Master Class A+ sessions the Sunday before ACHE Congress in March. We are excited to offer more in-person learning opportunities for both programs and site visitors. Thanks to the support of ACHE we are able to offer 4 different breakout sessions. (See the schedule below for course topics). The goal of these courses is to enahance inter-rater reliability, demonstrate how to connect competencies to curriculum, better prepare for site visits, and offer the chance to attend an open Standards Discussion.

This course is designed to equip healthcare management educators and administrators with the tools and knowledge needed to effectively prepare for a CAHME site visit. Focusing on the critical aspects of document preparation and communication, participants will learn how to compile and organize necessary documentation that demonstrates meeting the CAHME standards.

Attendees will explore best practices for creating comprehensive and clear documentation of evidence. Additionally, the course will emphasize the importance of effective communication with site visitors.

The goal of the session is to help programs have a positive experience that best highlights their program’s strengths and commitment to excellence in healthcare management education. Join us to enhance your preparation skills and help set your program up for success!

Track 2:
Site Visitors

Eric Brichto, JD and Lesley Clack, SCD, CPH will focus on enhancing the quality and consistency of report writing.

This course is designed for CAHME site visitors focusing on enhancing the quality and consistency of report writing. Participants will explore best practices for crafting effective site visit reports, with an emphasis on clarity and thoroughness.

Throughout the course, attendees will engage in collaborative evaluations of various report examples, specifically targeting the most challenging criteria that often lead to discrepancies in evaluations. By examining these complex scenarios, participants will develop strategies to improve inter-rater reliability amongts site visit teams.

This session will provide participants with an overview of prospective changes and will encourage open dialogue. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and gain clarify on what the new standards will mean for their program going forward.

Whether you’re a program director, faculty member, or administrator, this session is key to staying informed on CAHME accreditation requirements. Join us to contribute to the conversation!

What does the cost of the ticket include?

The cost of the ticket includes full day admission starting with coffee and conversation, opening remarks, two break-out sessions, a seat at the CAHME Awards Luncheon and the CAHME Standards discussion session in the afternoon.

What is your refund process?

A full refund, minus Eventbrite processing fees, can be issued up to 3 weeks prior to the event. We need to submit numbers for the luncheon 3 weeks prior. 

Where is the event taking place?

The Master Classes will be held in Houston, Texas at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

Who can attend?

Any program interested in CAHME Accreditation or going through the Accreditation process, in addition to current and prospective CAHME site visitors.

Can more than one person per program attend?

Yes! Seats are limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-service basis.
