Al Faber currently serves as Board Member, and President and CEO (Emeritus) of the Foundation for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Prior to joining the Foundation, Alserved as President & CEO of The Partnership for Excellence (TPE), in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to that, Al served in federal & state government culminating in executive positions and leading more than 11,500 employees, with 65 major facilities, a 250 million operating budget and real property exceeding 2.1 billion. Al graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Management from CapitalUniversity, Columbus, OH; and holds an MA in International Relations from Salve Regina University, Newport, RI. He was also a National Security Fellow at the J.F.K. School of Government, Harvard University. During his military career, Colonel Faber served as a Senior Army Aviator, Instructor Pilot, and Maintenance Test Pilot. He commanded units through brigade level. Al serves on several Boards of Directors, is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), American Mensa, numerous conservation organizations, and is active in his church.
