The Foundation for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award

Al Faber currently serves as Board Member, and Interim CEO for CAHME. Prior to his appointment in June 2025, he served as President and CEO of the Foundation for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award since 2014. Prior to joining the Foundation, Al served as President & CEO of The Partnership for Excellence (TPE), in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to that, Al served in federal & state government culminating in executive positions and leading more than 11,500 employees, with 65 major facilities, a 250 million operating budget and real property exceeding 2.1 billion. Al graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Management from Capital University, Columbus, OH; and holds an MA in International Relations from Salve Regina University, Newport, RI. He was also a National Security Fellow at the J.F.K. School of Government, Harvard University. During his military career, Colonel Faber served as a Senior Army Aviator, Instructor Pilot, and Maintenance Test Pilot. He commanded units through brigade level. Al serves on several Boards of Directors, is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), American Mensa, numerous conservation organizations, and is active in his church.
