Dr. Allyson Gail Hall is a Professor in the Department of Health Services Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where she co-directs the Center for Outcomes Effectiveness Research and Education. She holds affiliate appointments in UAB’s School of Public Health and School of Nursing. Dr. Hall earned her PhD in Health Policy from Johns Hopkins University and dual master’s degrees in business and health administration from the University of Florida. Her research focuses on Medicaid reform, learning health systems, care transitions, disability and chronic disease, and quality improvement. She has led numerous federally funded studies supported by NIH, AHRQ, HRSA, and PCORI, and has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles. A committed educator and mentor, Dr. Hall has served on doctoral committees across disciplines including nursing, psychology, and public health. She contributes to professional service through editorial boards, grant review panels, and serves on the board of the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education
