Dr. Banky Olatosi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Services Policy and Management at the Arnold School of Public Health, University of South Carolina (USC), where he co-leads the National Big Data Health Science Center. He also serves as a Visiting Professor at the Pan African Centre for Epidemics Research (PACER) at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. His research focuses on leveraging data science to address infectious diseases, with the goal of improving patient outcomes and quality of life. His work in these areas is advancing the understanding of how data science can drive discoveries in disease surveillance, transmission, natural history, and progression, which is critical for improving treatment strategies and developing targeted interventions at the population level. Dr. Olatosi has authored or co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Olatosi contributes to the field by training future health administrators, serving on grant NIH review sections, and peer review. He has also served CAHME in multiple capacities, including as a CAHME Fellow, Site Visitor, and Chair of the Accreditation Council. He earned his Ph.D. in Health Services Policy and Management from the University of South Carolina and an MPH from the University of Minnesota.
