Curt Hohman is the Senior Vice President of Managed Facilities at Avera Health headquartered in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Dakota and a Master in Health Administration from the University of Missouri. After holding hospital management positions in Denver and Phoenix in for profit healthcare, Curt and his wife Lisa took a position with Avera, a faith-based health system. For the past 29 years, Curt has worked with the management and boards of 24 rural hospitals, some of which he has had direct responsibility for their operations and others as a consultant.  He has participated in 2,600 rural hospital board meetings, providing Avera resources and guiding them in service to their communities.  He is also an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Sioux Falls. Curt is married to Lisa and they have two grown daughters, Abbie and Carly.  He is currently on the Board of Directors at Sioux Center Health, the Board of Directors of Lutheran Social Services, and the Board for the Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education. Curt enjoys being a mentor to at-risk youth, instructing cognitively and physically disabled skiers, and re-integrating formerly incarcerated men to back into society.
