Daniel Kline is the Chair of Community Medicine/Associate Professor at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine at Touro University (NYCPM)  in New York, NewYork. Dan brings  40 years of experience as a health care practitioner to CAHME where he is a CAHME Fellow, having served as a surveyor and accreditation council member.  He has 30 years’ experience in senior executive health leadership, including planning, marketing, policy and advocacy, physician relations and hospital management in academic medical centers and Catholic health-care systems in Nebraska, Delaware and northern New Jersey. Prior to joining NYCPM, Dan was the Executive Director of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association.  

Daniel has extensive nonprofit governance experience with credit unions, health, human and social services and housing agencies. He is board-certified in health care leadership and administration through the American College of Healthcare Executives. He served on the board of Lutheran Community Services of Delaware for six years, two as president and also on the Board of Amanecer Counseling Center in Wilmington, DE, including three years as President.  Currently, Daniel is on the NJ and Greater NYC American Diabetes Association Community Leadership Board.  

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, (his hometown) and a an MSPH, and an MBA from University of Missouri-Columbia where he is active within the MHA program serving on the Alumni Board and as a student mentor. 

Daniel is also a certified mixologist in New York. His hobbies include live music, films, traveling, finding new restaurants, museums, hiking and animal welfare. Dan resides in New York City on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
